Early Childhood

Welcome to Our Early Childhood Program

Union Ridge School offers a free, half-day early childhood program for children aged three to five. This is a nationally recognized, high quality program with experienced teachers and low studnets to teacher ratios designed to allow children to learn, explore, and grow in a group setting. Curriculum is developmentally appropriate and aligned to the Illinios Early Learning and Development Standards. The program nutures langauge, social-emotional, physical, and academic domains of development.

All children 3-5 (but not eligible for kindergarten) are possible candidates for our Early Childhood Program. Students enter the program through a developmental screening process and are placed into one of our three school programs: Early Childhood PFA, Blended Early Childhood, or Early Childhood Special Education.

A Joyful Beginning

Our Early Childhood program provides a warm, nurturing environment where young learners build confidence through play, exploration, and discovery. Every day is filled with hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social growth. By fostering a love of learning from the very beginning, we help children develop the skills and confidence they need for a successful transition into kindergarten.
