Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Walking & Biking

Students and families are encouraged to walk or bicycle to school whenever possible. Students arriving on foot or by bike are welcome to enter through any designated school entrance.

If you need to cross Carl Cassata, individuals will be directed to use the intersections of Carl Cassata & Newcastle or Oak Park & Carl Cassata only. Please instruct your children to cross only at these corners, where they are protected by stop signs and a crossing guard. School personnel and crossing guards will not permit children to cross the street anywhere other these designated intersections.

Vehicle Drop-Off & Pick-Up

A map shows the layout of a school parking lot with designated drop-off and pick-up zones.

For student safety and to help traffic move smoothly, all student drop-off and pick-up traffic must enter from Carl Cassata Sr. Lane and follow the designated traffic loop around the school. Vehicles should remain in the marked drop-off/pick-up lane at all times and exit onto New England Ave.

Drivers may stop only long enough for students to safely enter or exit the vehicle before continuing through the lane. Waiting in the lane is not permitted. If your student is not ready at the curb, please continue through the loop and circle around again.

The parking lot is closed to parent/guardian parking, waiting, and student drop-off/pick-up during arrival and dismissal times. Please do not park or leave your vehicle in this area. If you need to park your vehicle, you can access the parking lot on the corner of Carl Cassata Lane and Oak Park Avenue.

Following the designated traffic pattern and directions helps keep arrival and dismissal safe, efficient, and organized for all students and families.
