Fire Safety and Prevention

fire-safety-and-prevention

As part of fire prevention week, Union Ridge School partnered with the Norwood Park Fire Department to help educate students about fire safety and prevention. On Friday, October 18th, classes spent time speaking with firefighters and toured a fire truck that the department parked in front of the school. In addition to the fire prevention program, Union Ridge staff and students spent time celebrating and recognizing our local firefighters. Firefighters enjoyed snacking on breakfast treats provided by the school and also received gift bags that were assembled by students. Additionally, students created posters of appreciation that were displayed in the school lobby. It was a wonderful morning of positive interaction for both our school community and local fire department! Union Ridge would like to thank the Norwood Park Fire Department for their continued involvement in our school and local community. They truly embody what it means to be a Husky!
