The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold warning, forecasting dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills Thursday night into Friday. With student and staff safety as a top priority, Union Ridge School will utilize an E-Learning Day on Friday, January 23, 2026, allowing learning to continue while keeping everyone safe from the predicted weather conditions.
A few key highlights:
- Live links and specific class information will be shared by 8:30am.
- Teachers will be meeting live with students and students will be working independently throughout the day, between the hours of 8:30am-2:00pm.
- Lunch is at 11:15am for elementary students and 11:00am for middle school students (middle school students will follow a modified schedule for the day).
- If students don’t have access to a device (K-2), they can complete the paper e-learning packet that was sent home in November.
- Teachers will be available throughout the school day for questions and support.
