Class Schedule/Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR PM SESSION: Friday, August 23, 2019

EC Afternoon Program: 12:45 P.M. – 3:15 P.M.   
Classes take place Monday through Friday
 
ARRIVAL:
 
Afternoon program (if you are walking):
Families who are walking to school will assemble at 12:45 P.M. at the front entrance closest to our preschool room (at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and Carl Cassata Lane, near the flagpole, exterior door # 6), where children will be picked up by one of our staff members.
 
Afternoon program (if you are driving – valet line):

Use the North parking lot (follow the arrows in the u-shaped valet line).  Keep your child in the car and make sure your child is ready to leave the car as the teachers take your child.  Do not exit the car yourself – we take the child from the car!  Also, please arrange to have your child’s car seat at the passenger side for safety.  We will then walk the child into the area where they will line up and enter the school building.
For the afternoon students, be in line by 12:45 P.M.
 
DISMISSAL:
 
Students will first be dismissed to walking family members who are waiting by exterior door #6 at the Oak Park Ave and Carl Cassata Ln. corner (near flagpole).  All other students will be dismissed (North parking entrance, door # 21) to waiting cars in the valet line shortly afterwards. Please follow the arrows in the parking lot and wait for staff members to bring your child to the car. When strapping your child into his/her car seat, please pull forward and over by the side-rail in the parking lot so that the car line continues to move in a quick and efficient manner.
 
REMEMBER, FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT – WE WILL WALK YOUR CHILD TO A WAITING CAR.  WALKERS NEED TO WALK THROUGH THE PLAYGROUND AREA, NOT THE PARKING LOT!
